Private (series) by Kate Brian

I'd thought it would be good to include something a little different than the previous two.
Private by Kate Brian, is the first book in the series about Reed Brennan a girl who goes to Easton Academy, a boarding school for the rich and elite. This scholarship girl from Pennsylvania is definitely out of tune with everyone else. But her reaction to THEM is still the same...

And Reed Brennan knows that their her key to everything, to be a popular, successful, and an escape from her dysfunctional family.
And soon Reed begins to know the four girls; Untouchable Noelle, bubbly Taylor, stunning Kiran, and poetic Ariana.

The elite might have a couple skeletons in their closet,
and they'll do ANYTHING to keep the door closed.
Not to mention the irresistible Thomas Pearson.

Overall, the series is amazing. I'd recommend locking yourself in the room while reading them because even the tiniest spoiler can ruin it for you. The series is fast paced though slow at first, and because the series is lengthy (Book 11 comes out in March!) I'd recommend saving up to buy at least the first 4 books together.

Let it Snow by Lauren Myracle, John Green, and Maureen Johnson

I got the gooey standard love junk but they each put a little something of their own in this book. I for one am now a strong believer that a Christmas (Or Hannukah, or Kwanza, etc.) should not go without corny jokes (Tarshay), minautarely bred farm animals (Tea cup pigs!), and of course all the scandal a Starbucks is usually known for.

Three holiday romances stories unfold by three very good authors, and of course despite usually gooey love junk out there during the holiday season, this book has the same light, easy comic genius that these people are known for. Each story is intertwined together and several characters tend to pop up into each other's stories. Definite read anytime during winter or, oddly enough, during summer when you want to escape the heat.
It was really hard choosing a favorite story and it's really hard also trying to rate this book. I haven't read it in a long time but I can still clearly remember certain passages and parts of the story that I loved.

Miles has left his old--less--than--desirable--school life for boarding school. He doesn't expect much at his dad's old school: A couple friends? A girlfriend? Maintaining his GPA?
But all that changes when Miles meets the Colonel, Takumi, Lara, and--of course--the indescribable Alaska Young.


Rating: 8.5
Although not as funny as An Abundance of Katherines or Paper Towns, this book has the same standard I expect from the author: quirky characters, witty dialogue, and of course the ability to make me laugh spontaneously in class while everybody turns to stare at me. Props to the author for having a male protagonist.

This is a blog.
Shocker there, huh?
Vampfreebooks.blogspot.com is just that, vampire free books for those of us that are tired of every book in Barnes and Noble advertising something to do with vampires.
I'll try to update this blog ASAP
But for now, I guess the best thing to do is to explain a couple things.
There are probably a ton of blogs about books out there (I recently just saw one titled: (microwave safe) book reviews--you might want to check that one out too in case you find me utterly boring)
I'm going to have a rating scale, things 10 for AWESOME and 1 for well, er..
